I rolled out to Santa Cruz Island with Greg Stoney on the Amberjack out of Ventura Harbor. The weather forecast was a bit iffy the night before, but the wind never really showed up and it turned out to be a nice day. We tossed Iron all day while drifting along the island with our dropper loop set ups off the Jack and managed a good day of fishing. Calicos on the 7x was way cool. Stoney hung a Cbass on the Iron. 60 lb. Black on the Dropper Loop. Signs of Barracuda following our jigs.We made a couple of moves and found a nice area to make a last drift for the day. Both Stoney and I get bit and we are stoked the hard work we put in for the day paid off.
